What is Clubbox?
Quote
Clubbox is a free service which allow users to upload and download files off their server. The Server however is in Korean which makes it difficult for non-korean speaking users to understand which is one of the reasons why we no longer are using it. It is still however a great resource for downloading files.

Clubbox has a bit of a complicated system. Users can sign up for free and you start as a Silver status clubbox. As a silver status clubbox the owner is given 100gb of free space, with no limit on filesizes. However the file will be deleted in 10 days if it is not downloaded 10 times or more, after which point the counter is reset and the file must be downloaded 10 times again in order to stay on the clubbox.

Clubbox then has a point system, which is determined basically by the amount of activity on the clubbox by both the uploader/uploaders and those who download from it. There is a monthly check for the clubbox's activity. If activity is too low, the clubbox will be downgraded to a Bronze clubbox. Average activity will leave the clubbox at Silver status. However if there is an extremely large amount of activity it will be upgraded to a gold status. Here is a breakdown of the status and what they get

Status :: GB of space :: File Expiration :: Uploading Capability
[Gold] :: 200GB :: Unlimited :: Yes
[Silver] :: 100GB :: 10 Days unless downloaded 10 times :: Yes
[Bronze] :: 100GB :: 10 Days unless downloaded 10 times :: No

As for finding clubbox files to download, you just need to surf around (your best bet is other forums like Solid07 which are mostly Korean Music oriented) and find the links there. You do not need an account to download and the speeds are relatively decent, depending on what time of day you are downloading. The fastest I have ever seen it download is 65KB/sec.

Part1 - Signing up for Clubbox user account

Why?

Some boxes require that you become their member in order to download files.
You need to have a Clubbox user account before you can apply for box membership.
You also need to have clubbox account if you want to accumulate mileage points to exchange for quick download coupons.

How?

1. Open this url in a new internet explorer window or go to the clubbox main site and click the button as shown on the image.

2. Scroll to the bottom, click the LEFT button.

3. Next page, click on the bottom right button. That's for users outside Korea.

4. Next page, scroll to the bottom, click the LEFT button

5. Detail Page.
When you are done filling in the detail, click the LEFT button.

6. Next page, Tick the box next to the string of numbers, and click the button below.

7. Voila! Now you have a clubbox account ^__^

Part2 - Joining and Unjoining a Box

Joining a box:
Why?

Clubbox user account vs Box membership
Please note that these 2 are different.

Having a clubbox user account doesn't mean that you automatically have access to all clubboxes.

If I were to use LJ as an anology, Clubbox user account is like, opening an LJ account. Box membership is similar to making an LJ site your 'friend'.
Just like in LJ, where some entries are public and accessible to everyone and others are 'friends only', some clubboxes can be 'Members only'.

So for these boxes where they require you to be a member before you can download files, you would need to apply to become their member.

Please note that application does not mean automatic approval.
Some boxes require you to e-mail some people, or become members of a certain forum, before your application is approved.

How?

1. Go to the clubbox url. E.g BNS clubbox

2. Log in to Clubbox.
There is a log-in box on top left corner. Key in your clubbox user ID and password, and click on the button next to it.

Note: If you succesfully log-in, the log-in box should disappear when the page refreshes.

3.Once the page refreshes, Click on the circled button

4. A small pop-up window will appear.
Just click on the button, and you are done. ^___^

=================================================

Unjoining a box:
If you decide to UnJoin a CB, here are the steps to follow.

1. To UnJoin a box, scroll down the clubbox page. Click on the button circled as shown in the image below

2. A pop up should appear asking you to confirm your choice. Click ok if you want to proceed with unjoining and click cancel if you decide not to unjoin the clubbox.

3. Another pop up should appear. Click the button circled as shown in the image below, and you are done!

Part4 - Uploading Files

1. Go to a clubbox's main page.
E.g BNS Clubbox

2. Most boxes require you to be a member in order to upload files.
Log-in to clubbox if necessary.
Refer to Part2 - Joining a Box for more info.

3. There are two methods to upload files, but I shall teach the easier method. Click the destination folder of the file (where the file is supposed to be uploaded to).

4. Click the button circled in red

5. Follow the instructions given in the image below

6. There should be a pop up of the clubbox program and you should be able to see this

Resuming Upload

If, for some reason, you need to stop uploading and exit Clubbox program, there is a way for you to resume uploads at a later time.

Please DO NOT repeat the steps above as it will result in multiple uploads.
Follow these steps instead.

7. Go back to Clubbox's mainpage.
You should see the incomplete uploads.

8. You can choose to delete the file by clicking on the "cross" button, or reupload by clicking on the orange button beside the cross button.

9. Browse for the file that you want to re-upload. When you are done, click the button circled in red.

10. The file should resume uploading from where it was stopped.

BNS Clubbox only - Renaming Files

We allow all members to upload files to our BNS clubbox.

When you do upload, we seek your co-operation to change the file-description to something ...well.. descriptive ^__^
This will make it easier for other members to know what the clip is all about.

E.g rather than write 'KAT-TUN Shounen club performance', it's better to write: '[Shounen CLub] 2006.01.15 KAT-TUN segment - Blah blah song'

How to change file description

Go to BNS clubbox main page.

Look for the file you want to rename. Click Edit, Change the file name and then click save.

If you are not sure what description to put, you can PM either p-chan or MoOou and tell us what the clip is about, and we will rename it :D
